Fernando Pena Gamez passed away Saturday July 19, 2014, in San Angelo, Texas, at the age of 84. He was born May 21, 1930 in Ballinger, Texas to Namez Baldomero and Abundia Gamez. Fernando worked all the way from the cotton and potatoes fields, to the oil field where he spent many years. He also ranched and worked as a sheep shearer. He was a passionate fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Fernando was well known for his huge gardens and his green thumb. of all his pleasures in this life, his children and grandchildren topped the list. He adored all his grandbabies and he will be so missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Survivors include one son; Michael P. Gamez and wife Adrienne of Fort Worth, Texas, seven daughters Emelda Don Juan and husband Grabriel of Hereford, Texas, Gloria Venegas and husband Jose Of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rosa Recio and husband Daniel of Eden, Texas, Gracie Rodriguez and husband Adan of Eunice , New Mexico, Teresa McWilliams and husband John of Hext, Texas, Bernice Holder of Menard, Texas, Janelle Box and husband Doug of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. grandchildren; Monica and Azel Valdez, Shawna Lopez, Christina Venegas, Leslie and Stephen Richards, Daniel and Rachael Recio, Eric Recio, Beatrice and Michael Laubach, Becky Rodriguez, DeAnn and Jason Scott, Adan and Geraldyn Rodriguez, Jeremy and Amber Estep, Angelique and Zayne Riggins, Stacy and Irvin Hernandez, Joe Reyes III, Jonathan Reyes and Paulina Badillo, Allen and Melissa Box, Austin, Dustin, and Sky Box, Brianna Gamez, Raymond Jr. Gamez, Loretta Chavez, and Marsha Gamez.
