Robert Earl Evans Sr., 73, of Brady, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 in Brady, Texas. He was born in Brady, Texas to Richard (R.D.) and Verna (Light) Evans on August 2, 1946. He married Marilyn Schoenewolf on June 12, 1964 in Brady, Texas, they were married for 53 years until her passing in 2017, later he married Marsha Chaney on November 2, 2018 in Brady, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of McCulloch County. He loved spending time with his family. He was a rancher and garnered much joy in having a herd of animals to care for. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and wife Marilyn Evans. Robert is survived by wife, Marsha Evans of Brady, Texas, son, Robbie Evans and wife Stacey of Brady, Texas, daughter, Cynthia Reeves and husband Robert of Brady, Texas, three brothers, Richard Evans of Rochelle, Texas, Orvel Evans and wife Thelma of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Grady Evans and wife Donella of Brady, Texas, sister, Jimmie McFarland and husband Rodny of Brady, Texas, four grandchildren, Erica Gerstenberger and husband Ty, Robert Reeves and wife Sara, Austin Reeves, and Trey Evans, three great-grandchildren, Larry and Jace Gerstenberger and Carleigh Reeves, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bonus children Scott and Sara Wood, Allen and Rayleen Evans, Nancy and Eddie Truitt, Michael Evans, Angie and Lola Evans, as well as twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Monday, July 20, 2020 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 20, 2020 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady, Texas with Rev. Justin McFarland, and Rev. Bun Jackson officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clayton Carpenter, Weldon Talley, Myron Mays, Mark Day, Dr. Ronnie Kyzar, Jerry Petty, and Michaels Wright. Memorials may be given to the Food Bank of McCulloch County, the Playground Fund at First United Methodist Church in Brady, or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice of San Angelo and his very dear caregivers Amanda Torres and Viola Escobedo.
