Leroy Cook Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leroy Cook, age 79, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Leroy was born on June 26, 1942 in Lometa, Texas to Sid and Viola (Hunnicutt) Cook. He married Carolyn Poole in Brady, Texas and they shared 19 years in love, laughter and life. He was a member of Living Waters Pentacostal Church. Leroy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sid and Viola Cook; wife, Carolyn Cook; three brothers, Sidney Cook, Jr., Milford Cook and Hobby Cook; and two sisters, Nancy Teague and Dolly Covery. Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Pamela Ellis and spouse Darrell Rose of McGregor, TX; three sisters, Thelma Heath, Christine Cook and Fran Beckmeyer, all of Brady; two grandchildren, Heather Bennett and husband Jerry, and Jacey Westberry; four great-grandchildren, Korbin, Michael, Chase and Ashton "Pepperjack"; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Hyden and Bobby Covery officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
