Jesus Jimenez, 87, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in San Saba, Harkeyville Community to Jose Jimenez Sr. and Teresa (Flores) Jimenez on August 23, 1933. He is a grandson and direct descendant of one of the first Hispanic families that came to San Saba County in 1908—The Samuel Flores Family. Jesus married San Juana Coronado in 1962 in San Saba, Texas. Jesus was a lifetime resident of San Saba County. Jesus did sheep sheering in Wyoming, California, and Texas. He also did pecan harvesting. He enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing dice. Jesus loved to dance, was an amazing dancer, accomplished dancer, good singer, and you could hear him whistling a tune from two blocks away. He always had the last word and was outspoken. He loved his grandchildren, and would do anything for them, and he was finally blessed with a great-grandson after fifty years. Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Jose Jr., Leonardo, Manuel, Enrique, Salvador, and Antonio, two sisters, Elisa, and Delia. Jesus is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juana Jimenez of Kerrville, three sons, Andres Jimenez of San Antonio, Alonzo Jimenez and partner Robin McKee of San Saba, Rosendo Jimenez of Kerrville, on daughter, Leticia Davila and husband Francisco of Kerrville, two brothers, Omero and Jaime Jimenez of Stephenville, one sister, Elida Ramon of San Saba, five grandchildren, Elisa, Kassandra, Andrea, Alexis, and Abigail, four great-grandchildren Jaedyn, Kobe, Christian, and Ethan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba with the Pastor Tom Brand officiating. Burial will be at San Saba City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dario Jimenez, Gonzalo Flores, Claude Coronado, Jason Lambert, Matthew Lambert, and Robert Heaton. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba.
