Mary L. Mireles

Mary L. Mireles of San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2021. She passed peacefully at home with family at the bedside. Mary was born in Goldthwaite, Texas on July 15, 1929, the fifth child of Ygnacio and Porfilia Campos. She met and married Richard Mireles of Doole, Texas at a small ceremony in Brady, Texas. She lived and raised three children in Brady and later worked at Roddie Wool Plant, retiring to help with her grandchildren. She and Richard later moved to San Antonio to be with their daughter Diana. She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed working in her gardens and was quite the gardener. Her garden was always full of beautiful roses. Her home was always welcoming to family and guests. She mad sure everyone had tasty foods to enjoy, especially her sweet tea. She loved music and dancing. She actively practiced her faith and was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brady. She is preceded in death by son, Richard Mireles Jr., brothers, Leroy Campos, Manuel Joe Campos Sr., sisters, Francis Botello, Lupe Cruz and Rachel Bernal. Mary is survived by husband, Richard Mireles Sr., of San Antonio, Texas, sister, Rosie Vasquez of Austin, Texas, son David Mireles of San Angelo, Texas, daughter, Diana Kimbrell and husband Dr. Patrick Neal Kimbrell of San Antonio, Texas, Daughter-in-law, Stella Mireles of Lubbock, Texas. Grandchild, Jennifer Rose Tillman and husband Charles Matthew Tillman, great-grandchildren, Gabriella Mercedes Tillman, Breana Lynn Tillman, Victoria Nicole Tillman, and Sean Payton Tillman. Grandchildren, Albert Neal Kimbrell, Jordan Marie Kimbrell and husband Jonathan Ryan Calhoun, great-grandchild, Guy Bayles Harlan all of San Antonio, grandchild, Veronica Camarillo and husband Leroy Camarillo, great-grandchildren, Roman Lee Camarillo and Adrian Roy Camarillo of Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, May 7, 2021, Rosary will be from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home of Brady. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Father Terry Brenon, officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
