Jerry L. Crawford

Jerry Lynn Crawford of Brady, passed into his eternal home on May 21, 2024, with his loving wife Linda, of 27 years by his side. He was born to Vernon and Delma Crawford on January 12, 1950, in Brady. Jerry met his soulmate Linda in 1997. After a brief courtship they were married August 1, 1998 and built their home in Brady. Jerry spent his summers on the family farm in Voca growing and harvesting crops. His love of the farm ran deep, and he frequently told stories of his younger days on the farm with such fondness. He learned hard work and determination would pay off. After Jerry and Linda married, they founded J & L Trucking, where he hauled sand locally. Jerry retired from the industry in the later part of 2014. After retiring he took pride in having the most beautiful yard on his street, playing with the grandkids, and tinkering in the garages. Jerry and Linda spent their time riding dirt roads listening to music and taking their boat out on the nearby lakes, and later spent time with their grandkids daily. He was a man of small means and big love. He never met a stranger, and all were welcome in the home. A warm smile and infectious laughter, and undying love was his character. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Delma Crawford, brother Jim Crawford and best friend Tom Cayce. Jerry is survived by his soulmate and wife Linda Crawford of 27 years of the home in Brady together they raised four children: Who called him DAD, Terry Lynn (Christy) Oliver and family, Leslie (Billy) Jeffery of San Marcus, Brock (Jodi) Gould of Pleasanton, Melissa Solomon of Brady. Jerry is also survived by his proudest blessings that call him Papa, his grands, Tyler Gould, Macaela Lemaster, Trey Gould, Jasmine Solomon, Kyndall Solomon, Rhett Gould, Case Gould, Kirsten Solomon, Blane James, Shane Haley, Laneigh Haley, Preslee Haley, newest additions to his love great-grandkids; Levi, Oaklynn, Tinsley, Lyndy, brother Rick (Maxine) Crawford of Brady. A celebration of Life Service will be held at the Voca Cemetery (Co. Rd 214 Voca), Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 3:00 PM. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral of Brady.
