In Loving Memory of Doreen May Morris Doreen May Morris, a beloved mother, devoted friend, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, at Lily Springs in Lampasas at the age of 85. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 10, 1938, to Edward and Eleanora Krueger, and brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew her. Doreen dedicated many years of her life to civil service, working as a computer programmer at Fort Hood. Her commitment to her work and unwavering dedication earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She retired as a GS13, leaving behind a profound impact on the field she loved. Outside of her career, Doreen brought her creativity to life through various hobbies. She found immense joy in crafts, spending hours creating beautiful pieces that captured the essence of her spirit. Her green thumb made her garden burst with color, and her culinary skills delighted friends and family who were lucky enough to taste her delicious creations. Doreen's talent also extended to quilting, where she poured her love into each stitch to create cherished heirlooms. Doreen also ran Granny M's Ice Cream Shop in Lampasas. Doreen May Morris is survived by her 3 children; Roxanne Griffin and her husband Ronnie of Lampasas, Cheryl Wessels of Pflugerville and Dennis Morris and wife Betty of Burnet. She is also survived by her 2 siblings, Dawn Carteron of Greenwood Wisconsin and Danny Kruger of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Doreen also was also very proud and delighted in having her grandchildren, Margaret Mulloy of Pidcoke, Ginger Griffin of Lampasas, Lisa Mainey of Florida, Dennae Stooksbury of Tennessee and Justin Wessels of Austin as well as 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Join us in celebrating Doreen's extraordinary life during her visitation on November 13, 2023, at 11:00. The ceremony will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Lampasas. Graveside services will follow at Oakhill Cemetary at 2:00. Doreen's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty she brought to the world.
