Christine Jones

Thelma Christine Jones was born October 6, 1940, and passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 83. Services will be held at Langford Cemetery in Evant, TX on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM, Wayne Walling will officiate. Christine married her first husband, Douglas Wayne Kolb I on October 7, 1958. They brought three children into the world, Tracey, Wayne, and Michelle. She was widowed in January of 1968. She later met Joseph Laverne Jones, and they married on October 6, 1970. Together they had Joey. They were married until his death on November 2, 2018. Christine loved everyone fiercely, especially her Lord and Savior. She always talked about Jesus to her family, and she was very avid about them being saved. Up until her passing from this life, Christine was still concerned about her kids and grandkids. She was finally at peace when the one visitor, her baby boy, let her know that the circle would not be broken. She was so excited about the arrival of her newest great-great granddaughter. She was born on September 5, 2024, at 7:36 AM. She was called and told about the new baby, Blakelynn Grace Thelma and her mom was healthy. Only four hours later did she take her final breath and was reunited with her husband of 48 years and was greeted in heaven by Jesus with arms wide open. When the kids were younger, she loved doing ceramics and talked about returning to the craft again before she became sick. She was known to pick up different hobbies such as baking and cooking new things, sewing, taking care of her plants as well as making homemade soap. Her true passion was her family including her brother and sisters. She loved the holidays and followed the traditions just like her parents did. And when the holidays came, she welcomed everyone into her home. She loved her kids' and grandchildren's friends and treated them like her own. It didn't matter whether you were expected or not, because she had a "magic room" where you could find a gift for anyone at any age. The magic room had items that she collected throughout the year and was ready for any occasion, any time. She will be missed tremendously by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Kolb I and second husband, Joe Jones, parents Malcolm and Elma Kinsey, her beautiful sister, brother Billy Kinsey, Lola Cozby, grandson, John Joseph Blocker, grandson, Josh Jones, grandson Micah Kosa, numerous aunts, uncles, and her dear friend Cootie. She is survived by her children, Tracey Gaylene Kolb Lawrence, Douglas Wayne Kolb II, Stanley Dee Jones, Mandy Michelle Kolb Blocker and husband, Thomas, Joseph Wayne Jones and wife, Amy, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as her sisters Bessie Holloman, Charlene Babbitt, Wanda Lade and brother Gerald Kinsey.
