Alexander Moreno Roque, Sr.

Alexander Roque Sr., 67, of Brady, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born on January 14, 1954, to Jesse Sr. and Alice Roque. Alex will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady, Texas. Alex was raised in Brady, Texas and married the love of his life, Yolanda, in 1970. Alex spent his life in Brady where he raised all of his family and built his business of carpentry, A's Construction. Alex will always be remembered as the loving and devoted husband, father, and "Popo" to all his family. He was the leader to the Roque family. Alex was a hard worker and role model to many that knew him. He valued family and work ethic, which he instilled in every one of his kids and grandkids. Alex was caring to anyone he met and would have given his shirt off his back to help in any way he could have. Heaven gained an angel that everyone will truly miss. Alex enjoyed spending all his spare time with his family. There were very few times where his house was not full of his family members over for game night, Taco Tuesday, or other family events. The Roque family was truly blessed with the years he spent with them. Alex also enjoyed music and being able to build and work as a provider to the family. He took great pleasure in his construction business and loved being able to work with his hands. Alex is survived by his wife, Yolanda, and 3 daughters, Tammy and husband Eric Ortega, Tonya and husband Rick Johnson, and Desinee Roque, all of Brady, Texas. Also, Alex is survived by brother, Jesse Roque Jr. of Brady, Texas, Oscar Roque and wife Candy of Brady, Texas, and sister, Sara Soto and husband Joe of Temple, Texas. Alex also has many surviving grandkids, great- grandkids, nephews, and nieces. Alex was preceded by both parents, Jesse Sr. and Alice Roque, two sons, Alex Roque Jr. and Perry Bedford II, and grandson Baelon Simmons. The pallbearers will be Roman Roque, Isaiah Bedford, Cody Fletcher, Nathan Simmons, Oscar Roque Jr., and Joshua Soto. The honorary pallbearers are Kylar Simmons, Ryland Simmons, Gunner Fletcher, Johnny Roque, Zechariah Ledezma, and Zayne Ledezma. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
