Shirley Annette Tedder

Shirley Annette Tedder was born on August 3, 1942 in San Saba, Texas and passed away quietly in her home in Mason, Texas on July 30, 2022 from a life long-lived. She was the daughter of Phila Farr McNair born in Granger, Texas and Reeve Olin McNair born in Comal County. Annette was an only child who spent most of her childhood days either fishing, hunting or riding horses along the Colorado River at Waldrip, Texas. Annette married her husband, Jerry Tedder in Lohn, Texas on December 31, 1964. They were married for 47 years and had 3 children they raised on the family farm in East Sweden, Texas. She instilled strong work ethics, family values and always faith in God in her family. She shared love and laughter with her friends and family on a daily basis. She was always known as an amazing cook, tougher-than-nails cowgirl, old-fashioned pioneer woman, wise advice giver, and cheerful encourager to everyone she knew. They were lifelong members of the Rochelle Baptist Church and then she joined the Mason Baptist Church in 2018 after she moved to Mason to be closer to her children. Annette's pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: daughter Chanda Carter and husband Gary; sons Jay Tedder and wife Julie, Jed Tedder and wife Victoria. Annette was known by her 7 grandchildren as Hemmaw: Jessyca and husband Brionne, J.R. and wife Lindsay, and Justyn, Jax, K.O., Witt and Katy Rhea. She was also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren: Paislee, Atlee, Weston and Charlee. Annette is preceded in death by her parents Olin and Phila, her husband Jerry, and her great-granddaughter Charlee Lynn Shaw. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the rebuilding of Rochelle Baptist Church, Construction Fund, PO Box 126, Rochelle, TX 76872. As Hemmaw would have said it, she's "somewhere over yonder" celebrating with Jesus, "and oh my lans, it's beautiful!" Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in the Mason Baptist Church with Keith Simpson and Ryan Buck officiating. Burial will be at 11:45 AM in Rochelle Cemetery.
