Patricia Gayle Harris

Patricia Gayle Harris, 74, of Rochelle, Texas, passed away on January 16, 2021 in San Angelo, Texas. She was born in Brady, Texas to Wade Nowlin and Buena (Banks) Nowlin on July 11, 1946. She married the love of her life, Lloyd Harris on October 13, 1972 in Rochelle, Texas. Patricia was a lifelong resident of McCulloch County. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished being a mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the Rochelle Baptist Church and the Rochelle Cemetery Association. Her faith was undeniable and lead to her value system aligning more with God than man; she never asked for, or expected, anything extra or special for herself and she always put others ahead of herself. She was the definition of a “country girl” taking pleasure in life’s simple joys and God’s creation. It was obvious to anyone who visited her home that she had a prolific green thumb, having a home and yard full of colorful flowers and plants. Patricia was a well-known seamstress in the area – even beyond McCulloch County - and touched so many lives in a positive way through her sewing and through her wonderful cooking (especially her sweet tea and desserts). She provided immeasurable and unconditional care and love for so many people throughout her lifetime. Her laughter and her smile warmed the hearts of everyone around her. She will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her. Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd Harris, parents, Wade Nowlin and Buena (Banks) Nowlin, stepdaughter, Lisa Harris, sister-in-law, Dianne Nowlin and brother-in-law, Odell Bearden. Patricia is survived by her sons, Clark Harris, wife Shelley of Springtown, and Brandon Harris, wife Jill of Stephenville; daughter, Carrie Pfiester, husband David of Brady; brother, Ronnie Nowlin, wife Joan of Rochelle; sister-in-law, Violet Bearden of Abilene; grandchildren, Megan Densmore, Justin Harris, Eli Pfiester, Seth Pfiester, Hayden Harris, and Peyton Harris; one great-grandchild, Duke Densmore, who is eagerly awaiting his arrival into the world; and numerous friends and loved ones throughout the area. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Funeral service will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
