Billy Wayne Vaughn

Billy Wayne Vaughn, 53, passed away on March 12, 2024, of natural causes, in Abilene, Texas. Billy was born October 3, 1970, in Athens, Texas, the son of Vickey Taggart Vaughn Doescher and Carlos Harold Vaughn. Billy married Karen Howard on November 5, 1995, in Dallas, Texas with Clergy officiating. Billy and Karen were married for 27 years and had two children, Jordan Bradley Vaughn (currently of Big Springs, Texas) and Victoria Pearl Vaughn (currently of Abilene, Texas), who also has two children Camden Christian Smith and Madison Avery Smith. Billy loved his family more than anything and spent as much time as possible with them. His grandchildren gave him exceeding joy and his time with them was priceless. Billy lived in several cities but most of his years were in San Diego, California and Weatherford, Texas with his family. Billy was a Software Architect by trade and had extensive experience in developing and maintaining internet programs and applications. He was employed by Willis Towers Watson, located in California. He was employed there for 20+ years. Billy was self-taught in all computer languages that he used in his profession. Billy loved fishing and was fortunate to go deep-sea fishing several times in the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. He would go fishing anytime he could as it gave him a great deal of peace to sit there with a pole in the water and enjoy the peace of nature all around him. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles with friends. Billy loved helping people; it was just part of who he was. Billy was a multi-faceted character and had many friends from all types of social circles. He could fit in with anyone and loved to talk spiritual, educational, technology, business, and practically any topic you could bring up. He loved music and played the guitar, especially loving it when he was with a group of friends Remaining to cherish Billy's memory are his ex-wife Karen Howard Vaughn; children, Jordan and Victoria Vaughn; grandchildren, Camden and Madison Smith; Mother Vickey Doescher; brothers, Clifton Vaughn and Larry Doescher; step-sister, Lisa Armstrong; Aunt Teresa Spurgin; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and dearest friends whom he loved greatly. Preceding Billy in death are Father Carlos Vaughn; grandparents James and Odessa Taggart and Earl and Hazel Vaughn.
