June 20, 1956 - January 9, 2021

Ofelia Rodriguez, 64, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2021. She was born in San Miguel De Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico to Pedro Arteaga and Dominga Guerrero on June 20, 1956. She married the love of her life, Jose Rodriguez in February of 1976 in San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. Ofelia has lived in San Saba, Texas since 1998. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family in which, she was very proud of. She cherished being a grandmother. Ofelia also enjoyed spending her time outdoors, gardening and birdwatching. Ofelia was a devoted Catholic and was very active at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Her faith was undeniable. She was selfless, caring, thoughtful, humorous, kindhearted, loving, supportive, devoted, friendly, gentle, and generous. Ofelia will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ofelia is survived by her husband, Jose Rodriguez; 9 children, Jose Rodriguez Jr. and wife Maricela of San Saba, Texas, Octavio Rodriguez and wife Veronica of San Saba, Texas, Pedro Rodriguez and wife as Asalia Vargas of Brownwood, Texas, Maria Guadalupe Cuevas and husband Adrian of San Saba, Texas, Rosaura Cuevas and husband Ivan of San Saba, Texas, Elia Patino and husband Manuel of San Saba, Texas, Alicia Hernandez and husband Vincente of San Saba, Texas, Ofelia Vasquez and husband Fermin of Austin, Texas, and Gisela Rodriguez and husband Paul of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Daniel Arteaga, and Ezequiel Arteaga of Mexico; sisters, Rosario Arteaga and Gloria Arteaga; and parents, Pedro Arteaga, and Dominga Guerrero Arteaga; and 23 grandchildren. The family of Ofelia Rodriguez will receive friends on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba. Rosary will follow on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 7 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba with Father Javier Toscano officiating. Interment will follow at San Saba City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pedro Rodriguez, Octavio Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez Jr., Manuel Patio, Ivan Cuevas, Adrian Cuevas, Fermin Vasquez, and Paul Remigio. Funeral arrangements are interested to Heritage funeral home of San Saba. Ofelia Rodríguez, 64 años, de San Saba, Texas, falleció el 9 de enero de 2021. Nació en San Miguel De Allende, Guanajuato, México, hija de Pedro Arteaga y Dominga Guerrero el 20 de junio de 1956. Se casó con el amor de su vida, José Rodríguez en febrero de 1976 en San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, México. Ofelia vive en San Saba, Texas desde 1998. Era ama de casa y dedicó su vida a su familia de la que estaba muy orgullosa. Ella apreciaba ser abuela. Ofelia también disfrutó pasar su tiempo al aire libre, jardinería y observación de aves. Ofelia era una católica devota y era muy activa en la Iglesia Católica de St. Mary’s en San Saba, Su fe era innegable. Ella era sincera, cariñosa, reflexiva, buen sentido del humor, de buen corazón, amorosa, solidaria, devota, amable, gentil y generosa. Todos los que la conocían y la amaban la van a extrañar mucho. Ofelia es precedida en la defunción por sus padres, Pedro Arteaga, y Dominga Guerrero Arteaga; dos hermanos, Francisco Arteaga y Agustín Arteaga Le sobrevive su marido, José Rodríguez; sus 9 hijos, José Rodríguez Jr. y su esposa Maricela de San Saba, Texas, Octavio Rodríguez y su esposa Verónica de San Saba, Texas, Pedro Rodríguez y esposa Asalia Vargas de Brownwood, Texas, María Guadalupe Cuevas y esposo Adrian de San Saba, Texas, Rosaura Cuevas y esposo Iván de San Saba, Texas, Elia Patino y esposo Manuel de San Saba, Texas, Alicia Hernández y esposo Vincente de San Saba, Texas, Ofelia Vásquez y esposo Fermín de Austin, Texas, y Gisela Rodríguez y esposo Paul de San Antonio, Texas; Hermanos, Daniel Arteaga, y Ezequiel Arteaga de México; hermanas, Rosario Arteaga y Gloria Arteaga y 23 nietos. La familia de Ofelia Rodriguez recibirá amigos el miércoles 13 de enero de 2021 de 6 PM a 7 PM en Heritage Funeral Home en San Saba. El rosario seguirá el miércoles 13 de enero de 2021 a las 7 PM en el Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. El servicio se llevará a cabo el jueves 14 de enero de 2021 a las 2 PM en la Iglesia Católica de St. Mary’s en San Saba con el Padre Javier Toscano oficiando. El entierro seguirá en San Saba City Cemetery. Los portadores de los féreros serán Pedro Rodríguez, Octavio Rodríguez, José Rodríguez Jr., Manuel Patino, Iván Cuevas, Adrián Cuevas, Fermín Vásquez y Paul Remigio.
