Lucille McBee, 91, affectionately known as Grandma “Cille” passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. She was born in Brady, Texas to William H. and Avy (Hall) Sheppard on January 30, 1929. She was a lifelong resident of Brady, Texas until 2014 when she moved to San Angelo, Texas. She graduated from Brady High School in1946. Lucille Married Raymond McBee on July 21, 1949. She was a graduate of the Bible Institute of Learning and very dedicated to The Christian Community Church of Brady. Her church activities were very important to her both in Brady and after moving to San Angelo at Lake View Bible Church. Lucille enjoyed a full Christian life with family and many friends. She will be remembered by family for the love of the beautiful things in life, fresh flowers, baking, cooking delicious meals and traveling. She also took great pride in a pristine and well-manicured yard. Lucille enjoyed several cruises and bus trips as well as family vacations throughout the country. She looked forward each year to join with her siblings and their families for a large family Thanksgiving Day. At Christmas, she loved having her home decorated and a big meal for her family. Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond McBee, one daughter Willene McBee, brother, Lewis Sheppard, and three sisters, Maggie Henton, Katherine Young, and Dorothy Tally. Lucille is survived by three daughters, Diane Myers and husband Burl, Brenda Mayfield and husband Lee Sellers, and Arlene Evans and husband RA, one sister, Aurelia Stokes and husband Charles of Brady, two brothers, Homer Sheppard and wife Francine, and James Sheppard and wife Judy all of Fort Worth, grandchildren, Robin Kimble (Mike), Stephanie Davidson (Jeff), Chris Evans (Alison), Ray Evans (Lauri), Crystal Mayfield (Jared), and Alisha Mayfield (Scott Garner), fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Brady. Funeral Service will be officiated by Dr. RA Evans and Dr. Charles Stokes. Burial will be at Rest Haven in Brady. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all employees of Brayden Park Assisted Living and Kindred Hospice of San Angelo for their care. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
