Jesse Guadalupe Cruz

August 2, 1971 - March 14, 2022

Jesse Guadalupe Cruz, 50, of Lometa, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2022, in Temple, Texas. Jesse was born on August 2, 1971, in Brownfield, Texas to Joe and Margarita (Felan) Cruz. He lived in Lometa since 1983. He was a Certified Nursing Assistant and did general labor in the Lometa area. Jesse loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and barbequing. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Lometa. Jesse is survived by two sons, Jesse Cruz, Jr. of Oklahoma, and Faustino Laessig of Lometa, three daughters, Jasmine Cruz of Oro Valley, Arizona, Genesis Cruz of Texas, and Bianca Laessig of Killeen, four brothers, Paul Cruz and wife Norma, Pete Cruz and wife Nico, and David Cruz and wife Nicky, all of Brownfield and Baltazar Cruz and wife Minerva of Lometa, and sisters, Gloria Garcia and husband Tommy of Lometa, Augroria Gonzales and husband Louis of San Saba, and Carmen Scarbrough and husband Bruce, of Lometa, Texas. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Adolpho, and Gilbert Cruz and one sister, Yolanda Garcia. There will be a family visitation and viewing time from 5-7 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas. Mr. Cruz will be cremated. The family will have a graveside memorial service to inter the cremated remains later. Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Lampasas, Texas.
