Jamie Allen Walker

Jamie Allen Walker, age 46, went home to be with his Lord on April 27, 2017. He was born August 21, 1970 in Coleman, Texas to Norma Jean Potter, and lived most of his life in Menard. Jamie enjoyed life, displaying many talents and interest, drawing, leather working and whittling were just a few of the things he enjoyed. He was a man of nature, loved to explore, go fishing, and hunting, but there was nothing as important to him as his family. Jamie was an amazing husband, father and "papaw" as his grandchildren lovingly called him. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his wife Sherrie, one son Gregory McKenzie and wife Amantha of Rochelle, three daughters', Tabitha Smith and husband Brandon of California, Angela Wolfe of Menard, and Taylor Hill and husband Tanner of Post, Texas; his mother and father AL and Norma Jean Potter, two brothers, Chris and Scott Walker, one sister Melissa Smith; nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law Daryl, Tim and David McKenzie, sister-in-law Sandra Terrell, and many friends that loved him. Jamie is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and grandmother Birdie Simmons and one aunt, Carrie Lackey.
