Kay Hall

June 28, 1942 - March 28, 2022

Kay Hall, age 79, passed from this life on Monday, March 28, 2022. Kay was born on June 28, 1942 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Fritz Albert and Dorothy Viola (Kirkpatrick) Karger. She married Don Hall on July 27, 1963 in Acuna, Mexico, and they spent almost forty-one years together in love and laughter until his passing on May 25, 2004. Kay was a hard worker, having worked at Gibson's and Ben Franklin's years ago. After that, she devoted twenty-two years to Brady ISD, starting out in the food service department, then bus driver, substitute teacher, and special needs department working with handicapped students. She also loved to crochet, gardening, canning, needlepoint, and travelling. Kay was preceded in death by her parents F.A. and Dorothy Karger, husband Don Hall, brother Wallace Karger, and her best friend Bevo (her dog). Survivors include one brother, F.A. "Buck" Karger; two sons, R.G. Hall and wife Renee of Brady, Texas and Chris Hall of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Stephanie Harris, Karli Teague and husband Ricky, and Colton Cantu; four great-grandchildren, Lane, Kendrick, Drake and Payton; and several extended family and friends. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the Lohn Valley Improvement Association (P.O. Box 183, Lohn, TX 76852). Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2022 in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Virgil Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Lohn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaime Friar, Cory Feller, Doug Hemphill, Robert Jones, Ricky Teague, and Colton Cantu. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Brady.
