Cathy Patterson

June 26, 1950 - September 4, 2021

Cathy Patterson, age 71, of Brownwood passed away Saturday, September 4th in Brownwood. Cathy was born June 26, 1950 in Odessa, Texas to Thomas Franklin and Mary (Glasgow) Patterson. After completing high school, she attended college and worked as a truck driver, optometry and later worked as a prison guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grand kids, fishing and spending time at Lake LBJ. Although sometimes mischievous, Cathy loved her family, kids and grandkids to a fault and would give the shirt off her back to anyone who asked even though it may have left her with nothing. After falling ill, Cathy moved from Brady, Tx to live with her daughter Amy Parrack Lance in Brownwood. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Parrack and wife Candice of Baytown, four daughters, Priscilla Parrack Craig and husband David of Sherwood, Arkansas, Donna Parrack Jones and husband Charles of Hutto, Texas, Amy Parrack Lance and husband Nick of Brownwood, and Stephanie Freshour and husband Johnny of Hornsby, Tennessee. Cathy is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Deberah Patterson Holsworth of Pilot Point, Donna Patterson Nimmons of Odessa and one brother Tomm Patterson of Trophy Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister along with many other beloved family members. The family will hosted a celebration of her life at Lake LBJ andy will lay her cremains to rest with her parents on Friday, September 24th at 9am at the Ector County Cemetery in Odessa.
