Arturo Rodriquez Gloria, 70, of Brady, passed away on February 6, 2022, in Shallowater, Texas. He was born in San Angelo to Faustino and Julia Gloria on March 6, 1951. He married Katherine Gonzales on May 25, 1968. He operated heavy equipment for many years. They moved to Brady in 1977 and he worked at Texas Mining Sand Plant. He operated El Flamingo Restaurant for over forty years. He served as an Ambassador of the Flame of Mercy Ministries for over twenty years. He fought Parkinson's for twenty-two years. He loved his kids and spending time with them. His grand kids were his pride and joy. He loved to help people and so that is how the El Flamingo Thanksgiving meal started. He loved to travel and see new places. Arturo is preceded in death by his parents Faustino and Julia Gloria. Arturo is survived by his wife, Katherine Gloria, son, Ruben Gloria and wife Brandi, three daughters, Genelle Teeter and husband Randy, Sandra Keith and husband David, Dixie Salas and husband Edward, two others he considered as part of his children, Robert Allsup, Robyn Short, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many other brothers and sisters in Christ. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 PM, Rosary will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 PM February 9, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home of Brady. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Mendem Bhaskar, officiating. Burial will be at Melvin Cemetery in Melvin. Pallbearers will be Eddie Solis, Javier Panigua, Frank Quintero, Tony Bucholz, Jimmy Flores, and Oscar Villa. Honorary Pallbearers are Lorenzo Rubio, Jaime Keith, Matthew Gloria, Patrik Gloria, Randy Teeter, Edward Salas, and David Keith.
