Ann Louise "Rathman" Hughes died June 17, 2022 at Caraday of Lampasas, Lampasas, Texas. She was 91. Heritage Funeral Home of Lampasas is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be held at the Kempner Cemetery in Kempner, Texas, on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Ann was born December 29, 1930 in Burnet County, Texas to Robert Bartel Rathman and Mamie Marie Smith Rathman. She lived most of her life in Kempner and Lampasas, Texas. She was married to Thurman H. Hughes. Ann graduated from Lampasas High School in 1948. She retired from Civil Service, after 30 years as a Management Analyst at Fort Hood, Texas. Ann was a volunteer at Rollins Brook Hospital for 17 years and Kempner Cemetery Association. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by her two sons: Larry Hughes (Beverly) and T. Don Hughes (Suzanne) of Kempner, Texas; two grandchildren, Cody Hughes of Harker Heights, Texas and Skyler Hughes of San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman; parents, brothers, Mike Rathman and John Rathman and sister, Fay Mullins, daughter-in-law, Martha Hughes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, Kindred Hospice, or Kempner Cemetery.
